All new releases day and date with cinemas start at $6 and each month fall $1 until they are relegated to the back catalogue. Once you purchase a movie it's yours for the the lifetime of your account.

Subscribe to every episode or buy individual episodes with one cent off each time an episode of a TV series is purchased. Every episode starts at $1USD. This will encourage loyalty and rewards fans. Watch every episode for free on an ad supported basis. But when this is in effect you can still have the chance to buy individual episodes ad-free.

Sports Unlimited - Live and Archived - $20/USD/month. All these packages are optional parts of the package. So sports fans are paying for themselves and not being subsidised by everyone else. You can see which sports are actually being watched the most at any one time. And that will determine the revenue split between the sports.


Cinemas could come into the fold by selling cinema going packages to consumers by location.

If a company or group of companies is serious about changing the status quo let's buy the studios to get the back catalogue and outpiut deals for new content into place.

AppleTV hype - small potatoes. Getting excited that one company is in control in a proprietary, DRM manner where they control everything and it all goes to them, with everyone having to buy into their overpriced and ever obsolete-minded product cycle just to buy into their 'take a greedy 30% off the top from every piece of content' mentality. No wonder Apple is filty rich with $100 billion dollars in cash. They should combine forces with other tech and visionary companies to acquire the studios because there is a 'There Will Be Blood' amount of money that could possibly be made.

Back to DREAMFLIXTV:

A FREE back catalogue ad supported service will get more people wanting the service and what better way to compete with piracy than offer a free option that is ad supported while not forgetting that there will be people who will pay for a strictly no ads service. Why would you pay for a service only to get ads?

All shows and movies can be downloaded too if need be when subscribed. Any spreading of media by the old and outdated term 'piracy' is now seen as advertising and marketing for the service. It's free, ad supported and enough people will be happy with all the content on offer with the service in the cloud as well as downloadable at any time to watch as you please that piracy just won't matter anymore.

I don't think the movie studios, TV stations and content creators overall realize how much potential the internet holds for them.

You could have film festival pack deals where you unlock every movie at a film festival for the price of festival admission. Take the exclusivity out of film festivals and let the world decide and determine the cream that rises to the top. Film fest enthusiasts paying for access to all the movies and there would be numbers on how many people viewed each film. It wouldn't stop movies from making money because after the film is hyped up it will be released to an audience of millions begging for it. And guess what - we let them have it.

Once you purchase to unlock something you get it for life whether you unsubscribe or not. As a matter of fact as there is an ad supported free option there is no need to ever lose any subscribers. People just downgrade to the ad supported back catalogue package with the option to still buy new movies and TV episodes whenever they want. Which will tease people back into the unlimited service. Key is we don't want to lose subscribers Netflix style. Keep viewers happy.

All content can be downloaded if you have an account with no DRM. Sharing will just encourage more people to sign up. Promotion and marketing of sorts, the new word of mouth. Shows and movies can go viral. The key to the service is to get people in with the huge back catalogue of every film, TV show ever made and keep people there with the stream of new content delivered to them easily and exactly the way they want it. Every viewer wins as there is always new content streaming in. Back catalogue subscribers get new movies and TV all the time that keep expiring from the 6 month windows on a rolling basis and new content is always being made for the fresh 6 month windowed packages.
